A lot of the time I'm pretty skeptical about stylists + colourists {and yet I will dye my hair in my inexperienced bathroom...}, but after my ten minute consultation, I was so ready to let Sophie, my colourist, have free reign on my hair. I came in with a pretty firm idea of what I wanted, and I left with so much more!
Again, it's super reasonably priced, especially for such a stellar end result!!! I've had colour corrections before, and this one was by far the best priced {well under $200}, and the most successful {no brassiness, and so much depth, and hair-magic}.
For me, as always, the atmosphere is really what sells a place to me, and East Vanity has the coolest vibe. The day I went was also the day of a burlesque show, and people were coming and going in their awesome makeup and hair, and I felt 100% cooler than I actually am just by being there. Everyone was super friendly, and had lots of good advice as far as hair care and maintenance was concerned.
For those of you looking to forgo the upscale salon {and upscale salon prices}, East Vanity is like its badass, punk sibling that you totally want to hang out with and let pierce your ears with a sewing needle in your cousin's basement. {disclaimer: they don't actually do piercings... that was an analogy, as it were}.
